I’m pretty sure these panels are the only reason the Star Trek X-Men crossover exists.

My mother is rude and poisonous and hateful. It’s been a nice week, but starting soon enough everything is going to go to shit. I fear what might happen.

“I definitely designed it as a love relationship… That was the relationship I tried to draw. I think I also tried to draw a feeling of belief that very few of us are complete unto ourselves. It’s quite a lovely thing… where two halves make a whole.”

Yeah, I went to that today. It’s probably the fifth or so convention I’ve done there? And sweet holy wow it was WAY more crowded than it has ever been, I think we need a venue upgrade. The escalators were straight up dangerous, and tickets actually SOLD OUT and a lot of people got turned away. I don’t think that’s ever happened when I’ve been before.
The people I was in line next to we’re really nice, though! A lot of middle-aged people, which is exciting for me. My parents place no value in nerd culture and see it as a waste of time and money, so to see older people there and enjoying it as much as I am is certainly a giant plus. :)
Nathan Fillion canceled…which was a giant bummer. BUT that did mean that I got to use his money for John Noble and a purse. I got to see Brandon Routh, John Noble (Denethor), Adam Baldwin, and William Shatner. AND I JUST ABOUT SHAT MYSELF OHOHO DYSEE WHAT I DID THAR ahem, sorry. Couldn’t help that. But yeah! All of them were giant cuties, it was kind of ridiculous. I’ll say more on them when I upload their pictures.
Also I went dressed as a Star Trek: TOS science officer, and my inner middle-schooler was highly embarrassed. Sorry bro.
IT WAS CROWDED BUT FUN AND THE PEOPLE WERE GREAT. Also I saw Jurassic Park cosplay, and a Dharma Initiative cosplay that just about made me lose it. And I saw a Faramir cosplay that DID make me lose it. I made some ugly, undignified noises.
Alright that’s enough blabbering. Sorry.
